This is the current roadmap of major features for MelonSound. The priority of the roadmap is subject to change.

Currently working on

  • Better Models - support for even higher quality AI models
  • Let users more easily remove specific models from storage when not needed

Coming up next

  • Multi-tracks - add support for multi-track editing
  • Add audio extraction, support for extracting instruments/vocals from an existing track
  • Add audio completion, support for adding instruments/vocals to an existing track
  • Add clip extension, support for extending audio clips using AI
  • Voice-to-music - let users record short snippets of audio and convert them to songs
  • Let users add meta data to mp3 exports

  • Import and edit external audio files not generated by MelonSound
  • Projects - allow users to store and manage their their tracks and projects
  • AI powered editor - allow users to edit their tracks in a more traditional audio editor
  • Remixing - allow users to remix clips using AI prompts
  • Repainting - allow users to edit specific sections of songs with AI prompts
  • Cover - allow users to create covers of existing songs by providing an audio file
  • Reference audio - allow users to provide reference audio to guide the AI stylistically
