Remix

Remixing a clip is a way of creating variations of your clips through a secondary prompt.

How to

To remix your song, click on the remix button (DNA icon) in the top right corner of the timeline editor, type in a prompt, and click generate. Wait for it to load, and then a new variation will be applied to the timeline.

How does it work

When you remix a clip MelonSound will try to create something similar while still taking your new prompt into account. One way of thinking about it is like a repaint of an entire song, using the song itself as a context. Similarly to how repaint operations have certain limitations for how far you can push them, so do remixes. Remixing a track means keeping roughly the same style and structure, but with a slight variation or twist on it.
